Lime Kiln Lighthouse (via San Juan Island Day Trip) – Famous whale-watching lighthouse a short ferry ride away.
A must-visit destination for travelers seeking natural beauty, marine wildlife, and a touch of maritime history. Located within Lime Kiln Point State Park—often referred to as “Whale Watch Park”—this iconic 1919 lighthouse offers one of the world’s premier land-based whale-watching experiences. From late spring through fall, visitors frequently spot orcas, humpbacks, and minke whales navigating the Haro Strait just offshore

North Beach Public Access
Beautiful view and plenty of parking. The beach is only about 40 feet wide, I’m guessing, with “No trespassing” signs on either side of it, but there’s a place to sit and enjoy the view, and there was no one else there, which my favorite feature of any scenic spot.

Crescent Beach Trailhead
Excellent trail, not to hard (fairly level), not to long (about 30 mins. both ways), beautiful walk. Make sure to enjoy the beach too.
